What should I pay attention to before installing the pneumatic butterfly valve?

Before installing the pneumatic butterfly valve, the following steps should be completed to make the pneumatic butterfly valve work better.

1. The valve needs to be visually inspected before installation, and its nameplate should conform to the current national standard GB12220 "General Valve Mark". For valves whose working pressure is greater than 1.0 MPa and cut off the main pipe, the strength and tightness tests should be carried out before installation, and they can be used only after they are qualified.

2. Before installation, check whether the components of the pneumatic butterfly valve are missing and the model is correct, check that there is no debris in the valve body, and there is no blockage in the solenoid valve and muffler.

3. All the valves and cylinders are blended together.

4. During the strength test, the test pressure shall be 1.5 times of the nominal pressure and the duration shall not be less than 5min. The valve shell and packing shall meet the requirements.

5. Hit the cylinder against the valve (the installation direction is parallel or perpendicular to the valve body), and then check whether the screw holes are aligned and there is no excessive deviation. If there is a slight deviation, turn the cylinder a little more, and then tighten the screws.

6. After the installation is completed, debug the pneumatic butterfly valve (air supply pressure is 0.4~0.6MPa under normal conditions), and the solenoid valve needs to be manually opened and closed during the debugging operation (manual operation can be effective after the solenoid valve coil is de-energized).

7. Defa should be kept dry before installation, and should not be stored in the open air.

8. Before installing the butterfly valve, check the pipeline for any foreign matter such as welding slag.

9. The manual opening and closing force of the butterfly valve body is moderate, and the torque of the butterfly valve matches the torque of the selected actuator.

10. The flange specification for butterfly valve connection is correct, and the pipe clamp flange is consistent with the butterfly valve flange standard. It is recommended to use special flanges for butterfly valves, instead of flat welding flanges.

11. Confirm that the flange welding is correct. After the butterfly valve is installed, the flange must not be welded to avoid scalding the rubber parts.

12. The installed pipeline flange should be centered and centered with the inserted butterfly valve.

13. Install all flange bolts and tighten them by hand to confirm that the butterfly valve and flange have been aligned, and then carefully open the butterfly valve to ensure flexible opening.

The valve must be fully opened. Use a wrench to tighten the bolts in a diagonal order. No washers are needed, and the bolts must not be tightened too tightly to avoid serious deformation of the valve ring and excessive opening and closing torque.

During installation, the disc should stop in the closed position. The opening position is determined by the rotation angle of the butterfly plate. For butterfly valves with bypass valves, the bypass valve should be opened before opening. The installation of the pneumatic butterfly valve should be carried out in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions. The heavy butterfly valve should be installed firmly.
